An introduction to our food
Rob Dawson who is a renowned seafood chef, was Head Chef at The Maltsters Arms from December 2013, from July 2018 Rob leased the pub, and now runs it.
His accolades include holding an AA Rosette since 1998, winner of ‘Seafood Pub of the Year’ with The Good Pub Guide, runner up of ‘Seafood Restaurant of the Year’ and achieving ‘Top 10 Places to Eat Seafood in the UK’ by Which Magazine, to name but a few.
‘Keep it simple’ has always been his motto, but his love of food was summed up well when starred by Egon Ronay. He wrote:
‘This is wonderful cooking; accurate, assured, done with love and reverence for the ingredients.’
Since his appointment Rob has transformed the menu and has quickly attracted a new following. Whilst Rob and his staff serve beautiful fish dishes, they also serve many ‘Pub Classics’ and other meat and vegetarian dishes to please all customers.
We change our menus often, in-keeping with the season and new ideas from our chefs and customers.

Sunday Roast
We have introduced Sunday Roasts once again!
The Maltsters is proud to serve 2 different types of meat roasts every Sunday; and one option to have both!
However, if a roast doesn’t tickle your fancy this Sunday; we are proud to serve a variety of different dishes for you to choose from.

Food is served all day, however Sunday roasts are served until they run out!
